Modernist Owl Sculpture, Helmut Schäffenacker

Mid-century Modernist ceramic sculpture of an owl, made in the 1950's by german artist Helmut Schäffenacker. Glazed in expressive brown glazes. The height is 9.5 cm.

Helmut Schaffenacker (1921-2010) was a renowned and prolific German ceramic artist, recognized for his innovative and traditional techniques in ceramic artistry and known as a master of plaques and sculpture. He also worked in other mediums to produce paintings, prints, and public art works.
